Southern Seed Exchange
We are a charitable trust with about 150 members based in Otautahi/Christchurch and run by a small team of volunteers. We facilitate the exchange of seeds between gardeners by receiving seeds from seed saving gardeners and producing seed lists for members to receive seed at no cost except for membership subscription. We provide information on seed saving and are interested in locally adapted, heritage or heirloom cultivars and lesser known nutritious food plants.

Taruna
Nestled on the slopes of Te Mata Peak, Taruna College offers adult education in an inspirational garden setting. Since 1982 Taruna has been providing professional and personal development courses inspired by the work of Rudolf Steiner. We offer a Certificate in Applied Organics and Biodynamics, an essential programme to learn about organic and biodynamic methods. It is NZQA-approved, delivered over 27 weeks and is based on three 8-day seminars, with home-based study.
