|Back to the questions . . .|
This is a tough problem for me. We have convolvulus growing through from neighbouring council land. Fortunately, they do not spray it so I'm happy with that. But, of course, it runs underground and invades one side of the property. Any suggestions for tackling this problem?
Not much help here, I'm afraid.
I have used a very thick heavy mulch of newspaper and barkchips. It kept the convolvulus down for about three years, occasionally it would come up and then was pulled out, tops and roots and all. After three years the mulch was broken down too much and the convolvulus took over. If you can keep up the heavy mulching and the occasional hand pulling then it should be controllable.
I afraid this is all I can suggest.
